Biography

Ryan M. Perry, D.O. is a Board-Eligible, Fellowship Trained Spine Surgeon specializing in Minimally invasive and Degenerative Spine Surgery. Dr. Perry attended Michigan State University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. He then attended medical school at Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with his Doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Perry then attended Internship and a Residency in Orthopedic Surgery through Michigan State University. Upon completion of his Orthopedic Residency, Dr. Perry trained at the world-renowned University of California Health Systems at a combined Neurosurgical, and Orthopedic Spine Fellowship.

Dr. Perry is trained in the latest advances in spine surgery including extensive training in robotics and navigation for use in spinal procedures, minimally invasive techniques, and endoscopic spine surgery. He trained at the only dual Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Spine fellowship in California at one of the busiest level 1 trauma centers in the greater Los Angeles area and has extensive experience in spinal trauma and neurologic injury.

Dr. Perry’s practice is centered around his interest in the treatment of degenerative spine pathology through the advancement of minimally invasive procedures including lateral and anterior spine surgery. He is passionate about providing the safest and most proven procedures and continuing to participate in spinal education in both the medical community, and his patients. Dr. Perry’s expertise and extensive academic background have distinguished him as a well-respected representative of the field of spine surgery. Dr. Perry has been involved in the development and FDA testing of multiple Spinal implants, ranging from Cervical Disk Replacement, Lumbar Facet Replacement, and Lumbar Fusion hardware. He has also authored scientific research in the field of Lumbar Fusion, and Thoracolumbar Trauma and has been published in The Journal of Neurosurgery. Dr. Perry has over five years of educational experience as a clinical professor, and has taught clinical labs on spinal navigation, sacroiliac fusion, and advanced cervical and lumbar fusion.
